Innermost Thought

A vicarious life is like porn. Don't watch too much of it or the real thing will suffer.

I had thought to add a few of these little thoughts that pop into my head in one entry...then promptly forgot all of the other thoughts or, worse, have yet to think of them. I actually said this little tidbit to someone in a conversation and thought it was pretty profound at the time. I think it was late. Or perhaps I was tipsy...or maybe I was in a "porn-induced" coma. Anyway for better or worse, here it is.

(And no, I don't actually watch porn although I have borrowed a copy of "Debbie Does Dallas" from a friend when the Off Broadway musical was playing. Porn for women is more like scenes of handsome, handy, shirtless men building shelves for our shoe closets.)
