Pirates and "The Room"

The Room was a great success. We had between 40 and 50 producers, investors, and writers at our event. While there, I got the inside scoop on a few great projects that could very easily show themselves off-Broadway in the next 6 months or so. There's even a Texas theatre bringing a show! It's a very exciting time for Off-Broadway theatre in NYC. Just you wait and see!

Speaking of which, tickets are now on sale for the August 2nd celebration of theAtrainplays. This show is shaping up to be veritable who's who of New York Theatre. The show benefits the entire Off-Broadway community. You can get your tickets here.

Pirates!

Have you heard of this new movie coming out? It's called Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. It seems to be doing allright at the box office so you should still have time to see it.

I'll tell you a little secret. I know one of those pirates! Trampas and I went to college together at Texas Tech. He is a stuntman in LA so it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise when I saw his mug getting beat up in the Verizon Vcast commercial about Pirates. But surprised I was. I can't wait to see the film! I know. I know. I'm the only one who hasn't seen it according to the receipts. That may be a good thing. I'm sure other audience members might get a little annoyed when I squeal, "Trampas!" every time I see him onscreen.
