Created by theatre artists while traveling the entire route of the A train from 207th Street to Far Rockaway and back, theAtrainplays are a celebration of New York itself. This summer’s all-star installation is a special event that benefits the entire Off Broadway community. All proceeds are earmarked for developing Off Broadway audiences. Support Off Broadway as a thriving part of New York City’s arts and culture by supporting this command performance of a unique New York theatrical experience.

theAtrainplays vol. XXI, is produced by Project 400, Lawrence Feeney, and the Off Broadway Brainstormers. It originated in 2002 at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre.

I once rode the entire length of the A Train. My only advice is to bring a cushion because those molded plastic seats become unbearable after the 3rd hour.
