Innermost Thought

Noelle at Daily Tannenbaum posted a "Fun Monday" blog inspired by Ice Cream Mama's blog which was so interesting I've decided to do it here. The questions are based on James Lipton's The Actor's Studio. This show was a great idea gone horribly wrong. It could have been amazing. We as the viewing public might have heard from the likes of Marian Seldes or Angela Landsbury. You know, people who could actually teach you a little something about the craft of acting. Instead, the format has been diluted down to the likes of JLo and Martin Lawrence. Talk about being a "starfrakker".

But the questions are kind of fun. Here are my answers to some of Lipton's favorite queries...

# 1. What is your favorite word? "Syzygy". I think it's because I learned to spell it at such an early age. It was a favorite question to ask the young ones in my family. I was probably 8 or 9 when I got tired of not knowing and looked it up.

# 2. What is your least favorite word? "Like." It's overused and now the word means nothing.

# 3. What turns you on (creatively, spiritually or emotionally)? Creatively: Excercise. Seriously. It's a shame that first five minutes is such a pain in the ass because once I get going I feel like I can take over the world. Spiritually: Earth. Nothing like an example of God's grand gesture to make you think she's actually real. Emotionally: Music. I'll cry at bad plays and films and I get so frustrated because I know the writer is taking a cheap shot but the music is in a minor key and I start telling the story in my head and "waaahhhh". You could literally put me in any mood you wanted just by a careful selection of music.

# 4. What turns you off? Litter. 100%

# 5. What is your favorite curse word? "Bullshit." and "Shit a brick." for personal reasons. There's also been alot of talk about loving "frak" on other blogs. "Frak" is a curse word created by one of the best shows on television, Battlestar Galactica . I have to admit I love that word. It's the Diet Dr. Pepper of curse words. All of the flavor of the real thing with none of the guilt.

# 6. What sound or noise do you love? A train's whistle in the distance. It reminds me of my dad and my grandfather both of whom are/were trainmen. I will think of them riding the rails everytime I hear that sound for the rest of my life.

# 7. What sound or noise do you hate? Candies unwrapping in a live theatre. It drives me frakking crazy that people cannot keep frak out of their mouths for 2 frakking hours at a time. It's frakking ridiculous!

# 8. What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt? Astronaut, no question. "I'm okay to go."

# 9. What profession would you not like to attempt? Boxer. If I'm gonna try to kill someone, I'd like to mean it.

# 10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Finally, some fun people up here!
